Barbara Gelber

Barbara Gelber is Vice President of Brokerage and Disability Insurance Specialist with Planning Alliance. She works with independent insurance brokers in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware helping them present new and innovative ideas to their clients. She assists in all aspects of their business until cases are closed. Her strong relationships with the underwriters and knowledge of the marketplace position her for positive outcomes for broker clients.

Barbara joined the firm in 2012. She began her insurance career with Equitable. She went on to work for Berkshire Life and Guardian. In 2000, she founded the Individual Disability Department at Brokerage Concepts. She is an active member of NAIFA.

Barbara received a Bachelor of Arts in Business from City College of NY in 1975 and a MBA from Columbia University in 1977. She was a proud stay-at-home mother before embarking on her insurance career.  

Barbara is a Zumba enthusiast, salsa dancer, gym rat, and avid traveler. She has 2 married children and 2 grandsons. She resides in Cherry Hill, New Jersey with her fiancée.
