The Wood & Anthony approach to a custom-designed planning strategy begins with the identification of and a clear focus on all aspects of the client’s financial goals. Once the client’s goals have been identified, Wood & Anthony advisors will craft a customized plan designed to realistically achieve these goals.

Wood & Anthony advisors have several different approaches that can be used independently or in tandem, to meet the financial goals of any plan. The various approaches include: Balanced, Fixed Income, Cash Management, Equity, and International.

  • The Balanced approach permits independent judgments on the use of the cash option to lower risk within each sector. The client is assured of receiving a product that is tailored to his or her unique requirements.
  • The Fixed Income investment strategy is formulated in both a longer-term strategic context and a shorter tactical view. The purpose is capture the major trends of the market by changing the duration of the portfolio; preserve the underlying principal to be able to compound results consistently; and enhance yield and return through sector and issue selection.
  • The Cash Management program focuses on shorter maturities and highly liquid government securities. This approach entails moderate interest rate risk.
  • The objective of the Equity selection process is to create a portfolio of individual equity issues having the common theme of "Growth at a Reasonable Price."
  • The International approach is to diversify equity exposure which broadens the base of opportunity in order to achieve returns over a full market cycle that are competitive with domestic U.S. equity returns. This approach is often utilized to invest in markets, which, in U.S. dollar terms, represent sustainable above-average growth at a reasonable price.
